del mar fair 2012

We made it to the Del Mar Fair twice this year, aren't we lucky? Our friends the Leclercs were here visiting from Texas so we thought it would be fun to go and take the kids and eat a bunch of deep fried food, and then of course we had to take Griffin back for the Fire expo- which he thoroughly enjoyed of course. Here are Griffin and Scout enjoying the rides. These two were cute little buddies.

Surfing with Dad

Ben bought Griffin a little wet suit in hopes that he could take him out surfing with him. I had my doubts and didn't really think he would go out...but he did! He loved it and it warmed my heart seeing them out "surf-boarding" together as Griffin calls it. I think this is the beginning of a great father-son tradition to spend time together.

A visit from "Mart-mar & Grandpa Jerry"

My parents came out to visit in early June. We hadn't seen them for such a long time and it was SO good to have them here. We kept busy as usual- the highlights being a great day at the beach and a trip to San Diego's Seaport Village. We love it when they are here.
