Easter 2012

We started easter off with the earliest egg hunt known to mankind (8am?!!)...

little Grey and his basket. He loved the plastic eggs and goldfish he found inside. Poor guy fell down the stairs a few days before and has a nice shiner to show for it.

Toms Farm

We went out to a place outside Temecula called Toms Farm with Brian & Rachel and Tim & Anniece back in March. It was a really cute little place with a train, petting zoo, restaurants and lots of other fun little rides and things. We had a great day with family we don't get to see very often anymore. We topped the day off back at the Barkers playing a little Dance Central. We recorded Tim & Ben dancing. It was beyond amazing and I'm grateful I will always have it to show our posterity. Good times were had by all. 

Oh Grey: 10 mths

I'm kind of obsessed with this little guy. He is just such a joy. He's got the right amount of spunk and sweetness and I could just love him up. I love that he gives me real hugs and big open mouthed kisses. He makes an adorable chewing sound when he wants food. He crawls and cruises around carrying things in his mouth like a puppy dog. He waves "bye bye" and it melts my heart. He has been doing a lot of yelling and jabbering lately and will probably be a big talker. He already has a funny sense of humor and I swear he knows when he's teasing and joking around with me. He is just the sweetest guy I know and I am totally in love with him and never want him to grow up.

Ole' Ben Barker had an actual birthday this year.

He's 9. All grown up.

He's very sensitive to when and how we celebrate since it only comes around every 4 years. Cam on Modern Family anyone?!

So what did I do? Had a surprise party for him...eh... not on his real birthday. Bahaha! On Friday I realized we should have a surprise party for him on Saturday so with the help of my trusty friends we pulled it off.

A dance party might seem random but their is a back story (of course there is...).

Ben and his friend Daniel once had a "dance club" in their bedroom in college. It was called "The Retro" and consisted of some lights and a random mirrored ball. It was pretty ghetto, but we decided to bring back the ole' Retro and have a first rate dance party with the Dance Central Kinect game. He was totally surprised and we had a hilarious night competing with our dance crews.

I think Chels and Krista took the gold, although Shalayne and I were a close second.

My dad has eaten like this, with his leg up on the counter since we moved into this house when I was a kid many years ago. Its weird, but must (?) be comfortable somehow?!

Looks like someone else thinks this is a good way to eat lunch...

other similarities:

they both dress alike (preferring sweat pants), would like to eat potato chips for most meals, very particular about certain things, and MUST do things their way:)
