Granny pants

We were sooo lucky to have a visit from ole' Granny pants last week. Thats what I started calling my mom just to tease her. I bet she hopes that nickname doesn't stick around ;)

We had the BEST time as usual. Went to the beach, played at the park, drove up to OC to Pretend City and just had a nice relaxing week spending time together. It was heaven to have her here and we were so sad to see her go. BUT...we will be going to Utah and Idaho soon to visit both Grandparents so we will see them all soon...WE CAN'T WAIT!!!

Palm Springs

These izz my sistas!

Ok- they are actually my cousins, but since I am the only girl in my family these girlies ARE my sisters. I am so lucky to have them and haven't known a life without them. We decided to break away from the kiddos and live it up in Palm Springzzz for the weekend. It was FABULOUS! We started it off by celebrating Margs 30th Birthday, slept in, sat by the pool, shopped, read crap magazines,laughed way too hard, ate WAY too much and pretty much did whatever the heck we wanted. It was so wonderful. Even better was having the company of three of the very BEST people I know. Love love love them.

Laguna Hills 1/2 Marathon

On Memorial Day I ran the Laguna Hills half marathon with a bunch of my Aliso Viejo friends and had such a great time (although yes, the last 3 miles about killed me this time). Training for this one was hard because since we moved to Carlsbad I lost all my running buddies so I had to train by myself. I'm NOT an early morning runner so it about killed me to get up and go alone... not to mention all the HUGE MEGA hills surrounding my house that ended up messing up my knees pretty bad. BUT- I still showed up, did it, AND set my personal best for a half! I was happy I didn't let my knees stand in the way and had such a GREAT time running with all my friends that I miss seeing everyday. Thanks ladies for making this run so fun and for helping me to push through those last killer miles!!!
